My MIL insisted that i take home with me this month's issue of Manja when we visited her yesterday, citing "there's a gossip 'bout your cousin".To tell you the truth, i was pretty much more interested in the covered story than what's in store for my cousin's column.I'm not an avid reader of malay magazines, but since it's FOC, i might jolly well took it home!
So today, i flipped open the mag and frantically searched for what's the gossip was all about.After flipping the entire pages of the mag twice, i finally saw my cuzzie's picture in it..why not, he was just the 'belen2' of the main story, thus his picture was only like one third size of my palm?!
I don't wanna say anything much 'bout my cuzzie here, i am glad that he finally made it big, but on the gossiping part, guess he too must know that, that comes hand-in-hand with fame.

Apparently, Eka Mairina (the winner of Anugerah, some years ago.), had divorced her husband.So, what has it got to do with my cousin?..well,there's been rumours that they are/were seeing each other! Don't ask me whether is it true or not, coz i am least interested to know!!
But, what got my attention was how candidly she anecdoted her married life.Mmmm..not very likely for someone who has a celeb status like her to be so "open" about the "uglies", i thought.Even the notorious kid, Britney Spears, didn't!
Well, for some kepos like you, who wants to know more and do not wish to part with your dear $3.50 even though there's Taufik Batisah as main covered issue, then, read on....
So she was saying, her ex was a wife-beater...for a narrow-minded people to read that, they might sympathize with her but for a more broad-minded people,(ehem, like me!) they would questioned...what has actually ticked the ex to have done that? and, has she contributed to any of the facts how the incident(s) happened?
And she said, her ex was "just a despatch-rider" and "dari awal sudah ada masalah komunikasi".Needless to say, if she had known better, how in the hell had she ended up on the dais with the fella.
You see, it is very contradicting.If you die, die want to spread your dirty laundry in public, make sure it becomes your last say la.
Not that i'm having an all along blissful marriage myself, i do talk to people when things weren't going on well, but, i carefully 'select' the people whom can be talked to..people who can give me a good listening ears, a shoulder to cry on to, advices that i could heed.But isn't marriage supposed to be sacred?
Divorce is never sweet... unless you are one mother-fucking gold digger or have any other ulterior motives besides wanting to "live happily ever after"!
I do empathize with Eka's plight, but this is just as far it goes, i am not gonna judged her any further.Who the hell are we to know what she has gone through, but, reading the article has somehow perked up my boring Monday afternoon!
Ok, since Manja does not pay me to do this nor am i promoting the mag, and yes i still want you to part with your miserable $3.50,... go ahead and buy the mag if you want to know more or if you are a big fan of Taufik Batisah. Other than that, i suggest you go get yourself some fashion magazines and start cracking your brain's juice out on what to don for this coming x'mas and new year's celebration...that if you care!
