What's Cookin'?

Today Darl took a day off from work, he's having an excessive evacuation of too fluid faeces, which in another word means..he's got a very bad diarrhoea!! Muahahahaha! But he managed to tag along with me to the polyclinic for Tisha's immunisation in the morning tho'.Luckily, the whole process took about an hour, or else i'm sure something embarassing were sure to happen!

Since Darl would be home-bound, and i was in the mood to cook, i asked him to drive us to Sheng Shiong to fetch some ingredients for the day's menu.I sweared i've had never shopped at Sheng Shiong that superly-duperly fast before!

Today's menu was more to tantalise the sick person's taste buds.Tho' it was a no-no menu for someone's having diarrhoea, i just went with it...

Lemak Ayam Cili Padi...the family's favourite!actually i've already had something in mind on what to cook, but the sick man personally requested for this. The colour looked a 'lil greenish and that's because i only added half of the usual quantity of coconut milk this time..scared if i had done it as per normal, it'll do more damage to Wan's tummy!

I've been on the "kepingin" mode for fermented soya (tempe) for the past weeks. So, i'm not giving it a miss to cook this..a recipe i learnt from the makcik selling nasi padang at kopitiam.kepo kan i ni!Donno what is it called by the way! She told me this recipe originates from orang-orang kampung in Indonesia..donno how true la, but trust me, the taste is wicked..!!

Initially, i thought of cooking congee, so thus explained why i "rebus" this.

So, there goes my Wednesday..it was indeed a good one since we hardly had Darl around. And on top of it all..there's a good "news" we received at night, just perfect to end the day off as the 'cherry on top of the cake.'
